Curriculum vitae

Dr. de la Vega is a psychologist working at the University of Málaga (UMA), Spain, as a faculty member, with a Ramón y Cajal contract since 2020. There, she leads a line of research focused on digital interventions and pediatric pain. She is the Principal Investigator in the project " Effectiveness and implementation of a digital intervention for pediatric chronic pain co-designed with patients", funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (PID2021-122885OA-I00). She has several leadership appointments on international committees: Chair of the International Committee of the Society of Pediatric Psychology- APA Division 54 (SPP), Board member of the European Paediatric Psychology Network (EPPN), Faculty member in Pain In Child Health (PICH) Canadian initiative, Board Member of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Early Career Network, and Member of the Working Group on Pediatric Pain of the Spanish Pain Society (SED). She also holds positions as Associate Editor in Frontiers in Pain Research (Pediatric Pain section) and Secretary in Psychological Writings. Her work has been recognized with 3 prestigious competitive fellowships and a number of awards. She has published 75 articles in international peer-reviewed journals.

Declaration of Interest

Her research interests are mainly focused on digital interventions for the management of pain (eHealth and mHealth) and in understanding the mechanisms of change that happen during treatment, in order to improve their efficacy. She is also interested in treatment implementation and cultural validation of psychological assessment tools and interventions.
